Getting Excited

Hi Baby Boy!

Another appointment, another post. :) You're getting bigger, so your movements are starting to slow, but you're just as strong as ever. It almost seems like you're being intentionally gentle with Mommy, no more kicking the ribs where they're bruised or headbutting. I love feeling you move, though, and kind of miss your bumping and bouncing. Had I not heard your healthy heart beat today, I'd start worrying. Nope. There you are, just a slow, gentle kick, a tiny wave hello. I love you, little bean. I can't wait to meet you.

Today we reached the 8 month milestone! Hooray! We're staying to pack up hospital bags, pre-register at the hospital, and get together our to do lists before things get really close to D-Day. I find out that the hospitals have the nice, inflatable labor tubs and that I'll be able to eat, drink, and walk around until it's time to push. I'm very excited, Bean. We can't wait to be able to greet you our own way, to welcome you into the world by holding you close and giving you lots of kisses.

Love you, Baby Boy! Only about 8 weeks left to go!

Baby Brother

It's been so long. Adrian is a beautiful, intelligent, hilarious two year old and makes us smile every day. She loves Daniel Tiger, Elmo, and the silly Monster of the Cookies. She loves to play with Daddy and adores her aunties, uncles, cousin Lucy, grandmas, and Papas.

We are now expecting baby number two: a precious little boy who I love dearly already. Big sister is very excited to meet you, little one. She asks about you every day and loves to hug and snuggle Mommy's belly. You're so active! Kicks and pushes, hiccups and bounces all day long. I want to hold you and kiss your little face until you giggle. But not yet, not yet. We must wait until you are big and strong enough. You're still so tiny, even though you're so strong. I love you, baby boy. I can't wait to show you off and introduce you to the wonders of this world. It is, of course, not quite as lovely and peaceful as the world you are leaving, but it has its beauty and its peaceful moments.

I can't wait to meet you, little boy. I can't wait to hold your tiny hand and hold you close.

Your Mommy and Daddy love you so much.
