My butt is so itchy, my back is so sore!
I think I can carry this Lil one no more!
Why must you taunt me with cramps and contractions?
Forget preparation, I'm ready for action!
Your kicks and hiccups are ever so sweet,
But little one, it must be soon time that we meet.
Please understand that I love you forever, but sometimes I feel like I'll hold you never!
But still I must wait while you take your sweet time.
You may be slow, baby, but baby, you're mine.

Getting Excited
Hi Baby Boy!
Another appointment, another post. :) You're getting bigger, so your movements are starting to slow, but you're just as strong as ever. It almost seems like you're being intentionally gentle with Mommy, no more kicking the ribs where they're bruised or headbutting. I love feeling you move, though, and kind of miss your bumping and bouncing. Had I not heard your healthy heart beat today, I'd start worrying. Nope. There you are, just a slow, gentle kick, a tiny wave hello. I love you, little bean. I can't wait to meet you.
Today we reached the 8 month milestone! Hooray! We're staying to pack up hospital bags, pre-register at the hospital, and get together our to do lists before things get really close to D-Day. I find out that the hospitals have the nice, inflatable labor tubs and that I'll be able to eat, drink, and walk around until it's time to push. I'm very excited, Bean. We can't wait to be able to greet you our own way, to welcome you into the world by holding you close and giving you lots of kisses.
Love you, Baby Boy! Only about 8 weeks left to go!

Baby Brother
It's been so long. Adrian is a beautiful, intelligent, hilarious two year old and makes us smile every day. She loves Daniel Tiger, Elmo, and the silly Monster of the Cookies. She loves to play with Daddy and adores her aunties, uncles, cousin Lucy, grandmas, and Papas.
We are now expecting baby number two: a precious little boy who I love dearly already. Big sister is very excited to meet you, little one. She asks about you every day and loves to hug and snuggle Mommy's belly. You're so active! Kicks and pushes, hiccups and bounces all day long. I want to hold you and kiss your little face until you giggle. But not yet, not yet. We must wait until you are big and strong enough. You're still so tiny, even though you're so strong. I love you, baby boy. I can't wait to show you off and introduce you to the wonders of this world. It is, of course, not quite as lovely and peaceful as the world you are leaving, but it has its beauty and its peaceful moments.
I can't wait to meet you, little boy. I can't wait to hold your tiny hand and hold you close.
Your Mommy and Daddy love you so much.

Welcome to the World, Adrian Brianne!
We are so excited you're here! You were two weeks early (almost exactly), weighed six pounds and ten ounces, and measured eighteen and three-quarter inches. You came to us naturally after 13 hours of labor and 36 minutes of pushing. (Although Mommy did take some Nubain...) Yes, you had to be induced, unfortunately, since Mommy's blood pressure/protein count went too high. :( But you're here, you're healthy, and we couldn't love you more. (Even as I write this I know, though, that our love for you grows with each passing minute. Your Daddy is head-over-heels.)
Just before we came home, though, we found out that your bilirubin count was high and you were diagnosed with Jaundice. We had about a day to be with you (while you were on a biliblanket, a glow-in-the-dark plastic paddle-thing) before your count got so high we had to take you to the hospital. It was only overnight, thank goodness, and Daddy and I were able to stay with you the entire time, but your parents have never been so stressed. We are really tired of watching you getting poked, prodded, and being uncomfortable in general. You are such a trooper, though. So patient throughout the entire thing.
We were finally sent home to the biliblankets again, but it was only a day or two later that both Mommy and Daddy had decided we'd had enough and took you off of them. (But not until we'd done some extensive research on jaundice) The next time we took you to have your levels checked was the last. You were a-ok!
My goodness, it's taken me a while to write this. I think I started the day we took off the biliblankets and now you're a whole 13 days old!! Your face is rounding out and your feetsies are adorably chubby, which makes Mommy both sad and relieved at the same time. You're growing up, Baby Girl.
Daddy and I both try to make sure you know you're loved every minute of the day. Hopefully we can keep it up throughout time and siblings and life. :)
We love you, Enna Brianne. Never forget that.
Love Always,
Mommy

Bed Rest???
What Mommy has is called Pregnancy Induced Hypertension, the blood test is to make sure she doesn't have Pre-Eclampsia. If the results come back positive, you will be induced and Mommy is kind of nervous about handling induction contractions. She doesn't know if she can do that without an epidural. Mommy is definitely thanking Heavenly Father that you will be full term next week, before they can do anything. Had this happened any earlier, Mommy would be ten times more concerned than she is now.
Well, here's hoping and knowing God will take care of both of us no matter how this turns out. Mommy loves you, Baby Girl, and she will do anything and everything she can to bring you into this world healthy and happy.
Love Always,
Mommy

Be Patient, Little One
My goodness, you like to push! Momma thinks you've found out that you aren't going to be coming out her tummy. No C-Sections here, if Mommy can help it. You've dropped for sure and keep spreading Mommy's pelvis. It hurts, but your Momma's glad you know right where you're supposed to be right now. :)
Yet another appointment yesterday. Blood pressure was a little high, but the midwives aren't concerned, although Mommy has another appointment Friday to make sure it goes down. Mommy thinks it's just because she was frustrated that morning. Cold showers + no sleep = Not your Mommy's favorite thing. Just in case, though, Mommy's becoming even more aware of what she's eating (cutting back on sodium) and has started walking every day since she can no longer perform satisfactory prenatal yoga... belly gets in the way. :)
So, Mommy and Daddy were planning on moving the summer after you were born, but we found tenants for our apartment a little sooner than we anticipated. Mommy's a little disappointed, since she likes the fact that the hospital is literally right around the corner from where she and Daddy currently live, but she knows everything has a purpose and trusts that Heavenly Father will take care of you, her, and Daddy. She also knows she'd better relax and not worry too much about this move or the stress, coupled with your evident impatience, might bring you here a little earlier than she'd like. If you have to come early, little one, please wait at least another two weeks.
Mommy's worries are probably completely unfounded, though. You might come late, like she did. :) We will see.
I love you very much, Baby Girl. I can't wait to kiss your sweet little toes and blow raspberries on your tummy to make you laugh.
Love Always,
Mommy

Seven Weeks And Counting...
The hospital bags are packed, the birth plan is written out, we're planning on a time to go get the few items we're missing, a Baby Shower has been scheduled, things are really starting to come into place! Sorry your letter is a little late, Mommy's been having a hard time focusing on one thing at a time. :S
Uncle Paul took Mommy to the chiropractor's and midwife's yesterday because Daddy had to work. The chiropractor was nice. Mommy didn't know her body could pop that many times! But her hip and back started hurting again that night... Mommy's wondering if the chiropractor was really a good idea or if she just has to have more than one visit. Since there was half and hour between appointments, Mommy visited with Uncle Paul for a while. We talked about houses and Arizona, baby names and how awesome your Daddy is. Then we went to the midwives'.
Mommy had Rachel this time... and I don't think she likes me very much. It's probably because Mommy gave her such a hard time when she tried to take my blood. Mommy asked a bunch of questions, just to make sure the new symptoms that have come up this trimester were normal, and Rachel said that the next test would be for Group B Strep. She asked Mommy if I knew anything about the procedure and Mommy jokingly said that she knew it was uncomfortable. Rachel then became very stern and told Mommy it was necessary and that I was getting it, period. Mommy was pretty surprised because Rachel's voice didn't sound very nice.
Mommy is currently hoping she either becomes better friends with Rachel or Helene is on duty when she gives birth to you. Otherwise the ordeal may be a little frustrating.
On a happier note, you really love to spin around in Mommy's tummy, I think you're trying to dance in the limited space you have in there. You don't really respond as much to music, though, as to the talks and other things Mommy listens to to get ideas for her books. Perhaps you're dancing to the music you're playing in your head. No matter what you're doing, Mommy loves to "listen" to you express yourself so freely. Daddy plays with you a lot, too. He'll blow raspberries and you'll kick at him. Sometimes you'll be super sassy and stick your little bottom out. Daddy will try to push you back, but you just push harder, haha! I'm super excited to see you and really get to know your personality. My current feeling is that you'll be an "easy" child... with a touch of sassafras. :)
We love you so much!
Only about 46 days until Due Day!!

Mommy

As Long As You're Healthy
Yet another doctor's appointment, yet another post. Mommy's officially started on her 2-week visits and time is flying by! I've started knitting you a sweater, but you probably won't wear it until October-ish, since it's a little on the big side. (And who wears sweaters in the summertime?) It's finally snowing outside, probably around 6-10 inches so far.
Everyone keeps asking about plans for your Baby Blessing, something your newbie Mommy forgot about. So far all we have planned is a tentative date (June 4th) and that we'll be having it at our home ward. It would be nice to have a little get-together afterwards so you can meet some of your extended family. I think Grandma Jensen is going to bring up Mommy's blessing dress to see if it fits and still looks nice. Don't worry, Baby Girl, I won't dress you in something completely out of date. ;)
So, Mommy is starting to meet the other midwives in preparation for the big day, since we don't know for certain when you're coming. Mommy thought she would just be assigned one midwife and be done with it, but evidently not. So, today, instead of Karen, as usual, Helene helped Mommy out. She answered all kinds of questions and gave some good advice. You really like to do headstands on Mommy's hip, which is okay, except it tends to pop Mommy's hip out of place, but if Mommy moves, her back hurts, so Helene referred Mommy to a chiropractor who is thankfully covered under our insurance to helps us out.
Other than that, you are healthy. Helene and a student nurse who came in today to observe said that you weren't a "big baby," which is just fine with Mommy. She'd rather be able to carry a big baby and give birth to a little one than the other way around. You are so compliant it sometimes worries Mommy that you'll be too much of a people pleaser. Hopefully we can teach you to stand in your own light and be obedient to the One who it is most vital for you to be obedient to... and maybe your parents, when they're rules comply with His. ;)
We love you, Baby Girl! We can't wait to meet you!
Love Always,
Mommy

Things Are Starting to Pick Up!
Yep, I think we're down to only four names now! Although Daddy DID say that he liked some of the names we have picked out as middle name possibilities better... We'll see. Mommy can't wait to start calling you something other than Baby Girl. :) Mommy talks to you a lot now, since Daddy took a job that lasts all afternoon and into the evening. We listen to good music, Mommy does work for her parenting class and cleans house and at night time, when Daddy comes home, we have dinner and (maybe) watch a movie. I tell you how beautiful the snow is outside and sing some of my favorite songs to you. I tell you how amazing your Daddy is and how much your grandmas and grandpas and aunts and uncles love you. Sometimes I worry that you won't have any cousins close to your age, but I think that's just Mommy worrying. You'll be so spoiled I don't think you'll care, really. Not for a long time, anyways.
We had another doctor's appointment today, glucose screening and everything. Mommy flinched when they stuck her finger, but it really wasn't that bad. It hurt less than someone snapping a rubber band on your wrist. It was a nice relief to hear that there will be no bed rest or diabetes this pregnancy! Yay! Mommy measures perfectly (28 inches, 28 weeks) and you're already head-down! Such a good little girl, so compliant and cooperative. Thank you for making this so easy on your mommy. I hope you know, though, that I love you no matter what.
You get the hiccups every once in a while. Last night you hiccuped in perfect rhythm to the music your Mommy and Daddy were listening to. It doesn't surprise your parents, though. Mommy's a dancer and Daddy plays both the bass and the drums, so you probably have an innate sense of rhythm. :) You seem to like Jenny Jordan Frogley, just like your Mommy and Grandma, and the strawberry-banana smoothies Mommy has every once in a while.
You might have to remind Mommy to register at the hospital, take a tour, and start in on the online birthing classes sometime between this and next week. Soon we're going to pack our hospital bag, have a Baby Shower, and go do some pre-labor shopping. The visits to the midwives are starting to come closer together, since we're going after three weeks this time, then once every other week, then weekly and, before we all know it, you'll make your debut!! Mommy is getting very excited! But if Mommy's excited, Daddy's ecstatic! He loves you very much and he loves your mommy very much, too. Get ready for a lot of mushy kissing, baby girl, because you are going to see a LOT of it! ;)
I love you, Baby! I can't wait to see you!
Love Always,
Mommy
P.S.
Words from the chorus of Mommy's favorite song right now:
You look at me with those trusting eyes
You need someone who won't compromise
Constant and steady, with love never ending
With everything life will put you through
You can find me, I'll be here for you
Constant and true, in everything that I do for you.

Your Family Loved You Before They Met You
If you ever wonder why you have so many baby hats, just know that each one is a small token of how much your family loves you. Grandma Jensen made you one that matches hers (the one with the pompom the size of your head, haha!), and each of your aunts are waiting for their turn with the "baby hat knitting ring" to make you one of their own.
Aunt Matea says your name should be Sophie. What surprised me is that Daddy likes it when he turned down the name Sofia... We still haven't decided yet, however. We probably won't until you're born. (I think I've said that already, haha!)
Grandpa Jensen was very attentive to how Mommy took care of herself and you. He even ran to the store when Mommy was craving milk and granola. ...Mommy is a little unused to having people do things for her...
Aunt Lyric is quite excited to dress you up in little feather bows and flowers. Mommy's going to have to make a soft hairband so you can wear them
You also played with Aunt Tayli. She'd pat my tummy where you were and you'd kick in response. She couldn't feel the kicks, (evidently Mommy has rather thick skin) but she laughed along just the same when I told her what you were doing.
Everyone "ooh-ed and ahh-ed" at the 3D ultrasound pictures and Great-Grandma Wilcock gave Mommy some pretty good birthing advice.
Uncle Connor is now on his mission and Mommy's waiting to hear his response to the pictures she just sent him.
Grandma and Grandpa Guerra are also very excited to see you. We were supposed to go see them for Thanksgiving, but ended up being with Uncle Paul and Aunt Cait instead.
Uncle Chris is doing well in his first month in Riberao Preto, immersed in the work of Heavenly Father in his assigned mission at last. Mommy needs to send him pictures, too...
I can just imagine how you'll say Aunt Leanna's name when you start speaking. (A while yet to come, but Mommies can think about it.) She's playing soccer for her highschool and is very good at it, I hear.
Uncle Tony is becoming Mommy's "in" when she's going to make important announcements or needs something stored in Oregon. He's very helpful and a LOT of fun. I think you're going to smile and laugh a lot when you're with him.
We're going to go see everyone Guerra in July for a family reunion. You'll be a whopping two, almost three, months old! I hope we can visit them sooner, or that Grandma Guerra has the same opportunity as Grandma Jensen to come visit the week after you're born, but we'll see.
The midwife says everything is perfect so far. We're taking the glucose test next, which they've thankfully simplified. Mommy doesn't know if she could fast an entire day AND take three blood tests without getting sick, but I suppose many, many, many mommies have done it before, so your Mommy can, too. Mommy's also taken to knitting you a panda poncho to match your panda teddy and maybe some booties and a hat to match for your take-home day.
Only 15 more weeks to go! I hope you're getting ready in there!
I love you, Baby Girl,
Mommy
PS
You make both Mommy and Daddy laugh when you stick your little bottom out. Silly girl, don't you know your parents don't believe in spankin's? ;)

IT'S A GIRL!!!
Rosaline
Ellidy
Ileanna
Antonia
Carmen
Jade
Rayne
So, what happened during the doctor's appointment? I'll tell ya. :)
First off, I took the sedative late for the blood test they'd be giving me after the ultrasound, so we were in the waiting room for about 20 minutes until it kicked in. Daddy wouldn't let me fall asleep, though, since we wanted to do the ultrasound before the test. We they called us in, we had the ultrasound and I have to say, I was very happy my intuition was right. :) Your mommy hasn't completely lost her mind yet. I don't remember much of the ultrasound after that, though, other than I felt very much at peace... until they brought in the needle. Your Momma gave those poor nurses a rather rough time for about an hour until the doctor had the idea to let me see another girl get her blood drawn. After I'd seen that, I was able to let the nurse take my blood. The lesson? Leaving a fear in the unknown makes it worse than it has to be. Don't be afraid to learn and look. It seems less scary afterwards.
I love you, Baby Girl. Your daddy is bragging to everyone that he's having a little girl. :) Your aunts and uncles, grandmas and grandpas are all very excited, too.
Can't wait to meet you. I hope we can be prepared when we do. Now, back to name looking and to maybe do some shopping.
Love Always,
Mom <3

A Word of Advice
Yet another doctor's visit today. They were supposed to take my blood but your mommy tried the patience of about everyone in that room, including poor Daddy, who'd never seen me like that. Looks like they'll have to drug me so they can actually do it next time we go.
Baby of mine, never, EVER let a fear get the best of you. If you don't overcome whatever it is that scares you, it will wound your confidence and dampen your happiness. You're stronger than that. I know it, even though I haven't even held you yet. I pray I can become a better example of overcoming fears and be better able to help you if ever you or your siblings get into that kind of situation.
On a happier note, I can feel you move now! I admit, it's more often than I expected, especially when you wake up around 11 o'clock at night, haha! I can't wait until Daddy can feel it, too. I suppose that'll start happening within the next few weeks, maybe even before we find out if your a son or daughter.
I love you very much and hope I can be the mommy you need and the wife your daddy deserves.
Yours,
Mommy

1 + 1 = 3
We were both excited, if a little nervous, when we found out about you. I've been trying to take extra good care of myself for your sake, but, due to moving around and a nasty cold your father and I got, we weren't able to get to the doctor until yesterday.
I'll admit, your mommy isn't too excited about the blood test next month, but the nurse has assured me that it's only once. I just pray you'll never have to deal with something so debilitating.
We did get to see you in the ultrasound! I kept trying to see your daddy's reaction, but I was so drawn and entertained by your sweet little shenanigans that eventually I gave up and just watched you stretch and kick and roll around in my tummy. So, if you want to know about his thoughts and feelings, you'll have to ask him sometime. I teared up and could barely stop laughing. You like to stick the back of your little hand to your forehead in a rather dramatic fashion. The midwife jokingly says she thinks it's because you're a girl, but it's still impossible to tell at this stage. (13 1/2 wks)
I know I'm excited whether you're a boy or girl. I'm going to have to come up with a nice, masculine name if you are a boy, though. So far, I can't find anything good enough. Daddy says we should call you Balthazzar Miguel and nickname you Mikey. It's just a joke right now, though. Kind of like my idea to call a girl Rhododendron, though we both like Rhodi Jade. Your Grandma Jensen and Aunt Tayli both have that middle name, and the first name means "rose."
We can already tell you are quite active, though compliant, and pretty silly. We got a perfect picture of your itty bitty foot and you showed off your lovely profile and teensy little hands and (I thought) rather long legs.
We both love you to pieces and are excited for when we'll be able to officially welcome you to this beautiful world.
Love,
Mom

Our Story
(Disclaimer: Quotes aren't word-for-word. My memory isn't THAT good. It's just to help the reader get the jist of what was said as well as good storytelling.)
It was a beautiful Sabbath. I'd attended choir, been uplifted by wonderful speakers, and partaken of the sacrament. My family and I also went to my grandma's house for a traditional Sunday family get-together. Nothing could get better, right? Well, perhaps not, but I was also invited to a surprise social for a friend in the ward's birthday. Turned out she didn't like surprises. Go figure.
So there I was, sitting in the half-darkness of evening, crammed with a group of people into a corner and rather excited to finally be part of the "surprise" part of a surprise party. I backed up, a rather silly grin on my face, when *bonk* I bumped into somebody behind me. Trying not to be embarrassed, I turned around to apologize and surprised myself by not recognizing the crash victim. I'd only been in the ward for a year, but I was very active in all the activities and events that went on, so I felt I knew everyone. Or, at least enough to know who was new and who wasn't.
Then there was my perception of guys. You see, even when I was little I couldn't care less what a guy looked like. (Don't roll your eyes, it's true.) As a matter of fact, I found good-looking guys to be arrogant and annoying, mostly just because of the mobs of girls that seemed to follow them everywhere. Unfair? Yeah, probably. This perception also caused me to have no thoughts about this guy I'd bumped into whatsoever other than the desire to help him feel like part of the group. Well, that and I was waiting for a missionary I thought couldn't be topped. So all my "romantic energy" was focused elsewhere. Seriously, it didn't even register that this guy was good-looking... Until he opened his mouth.
"Whoops! Sorry about that." I said.
He grinned. "No problem."
A bit of silence. (We were still waiting for the guest of honor)
"My name's Regan Jensen, by the way."
"I'm Mario Guerra."
Italian? (Actually, he is 1/16 or 1/32 Mexican) I smile. "Mario, huh? Bet you get a lot of jokes. How do you say your last name again?"
"Guerra. G-U-E-R-R-A"
"Wait, so Gwerra?"
"Nope, just Gehra. Makes it easier."
"I see."
I went on to find out that he'd moved in the month before and had been homeschooled. That piqued my interest. It had been a while since I'd met another homeschooler, though I was still a little wary. Some homeschoolers did bare minimum studies before playing video games the rest of the day, which is fine, just not the type of person I would have been romantically interested in. Then there were other homeschoolers who had a bit of an elitist mentality. Understandable, since they were very intelligent people, but still not someone I'd be interested in.
This guy, however, was neither. We could talk about the same books (the ones with great morals and teachings without being utterly dry and solely intellectual), had many of the same ideas, but what really started to win me over was when he started to tell me what he wanted to do with his career and why.
"I'm selling alarm systems right now, but I'd like to get into something called wholesaling," (This took me forever to understand what it was) "and then retire in five to ten years to start my own company. I just don't want to have to worry about money and be able to focus on more important things, like my family."
Yeah, the guy knew exactly what to say.
We talked the entire night. I hinted at needing a ride home and he volunteered, asking me out for lunch that Thursday. (I worked in the evenings and so couldn't do dinner)
You know, I wish I could say that our first date was magical and that we knew right then that we wanted to marry each other, but what's a good story without plot twists? The date was a disaster. Mario Guerra, the man who can talk to anybody, couldn't get a word out of me. I was shut as tight as a clam, scared stiff because I knew I liked him and feared the thought of having to not only write off a missionary I'd been friends with since I was eleven, but wondering how the heck I'd have time to date anyone with my crazy schedule as well as remembering my last two relationships that hadn't turned out all that great.
Needless to say, we were both pretty dang frazzled by the time he took me home. In fact, he told me later that he didn't intend to ask me out again. Fortunately, the memory of the one person he couldn't get to talk stuck, even if it was in the back of his mind.
I moved on and we didn't see each other until weeks later at a house warming party. But that was as unfruitful as our date, seeing as another guy was flirting with me. I did catch Mario staring a few times, though, and kept wondering what he was thinking about. The other guy asked me out for gelatto, and I agreed. Nothing came of it. Then, a miracle happened.
One of the young women my mom had taught in Utah had became so close to our family she was like an older sister. She was getting married at the end of July and would I like to be one of her bridesmaids? Would I like to? The answer was a hands-down yes! Could I? Probably not, since all of my money was going to my "Europe Trip" fund and I was very close to reaching my goal. What if she paid for my ticket? Count me in!!
The dress was sent, the ticket info collected, my days at work miraculously covered, and I was off to Utah! The wedding was beautiful, the times with old friends awesome. It was a vacation I sincerely needed. How much? I didn't know until my trip home. You see, I'd spent the last night at the missionary's family's house, since the sisters and I were good friends and I used to babysit them every once in a while. So yeah, I needed a friend while at the airport, someone I could vent to. All I had was a book, so I tried delving into that.
It must not have been working very well, because I did look up at one point in time and who do you think was standing right in front of me?
Naw, you'll never guess.
I promise, I'll give you twenty guesses and you won't figure it out.
Mario? Huh. You're right. But I couldn't believe it. In fact, my exact thought was. No way.
We sat together while waiting for our flight and I found out he was on his way home from his brother's wedding in Illinois. What I didn't find out? He'd caught the garter.
The "coincidences" don't stop there. I'd been reading this book called The Jackrabbit Factor for the past few days. A read given by my mom. So I was starting to try out its theory. You'd have to read the book to really understand it, but let's just say I no longer believe in coincidences. :) Also, our seats were pretty far apart, but when we got to my row there was this lady there in the seat next to me and she looked pretty worried. She told us that her boyfriend was afraid of flying and asked if she could trade seats with Mario, whose ticket happened to be the seat next to her boyfriend. Mario agreed and said. "Isn't that a funny coincidence."
And I, knowing full well how he'd interpret it, said, "I don't believe in coincidences."
We talked the entire plane ride and I introduced him to my family when he caught a ride home with us. Unfortunately, I had to wait another month before he asked me out again. His phone had been stolen and with it, my phone number.
During that month, my mom was starting to worry about me, since I was now involved in two jobs, directing a musical, and a writing class. I was best friends with my visiting teachers, but she said I needed to have some guy friends, too. That was another Sunday and, as I was driving to church, who should I see on the way but Mario.
My thought? He'd be a perfect guy friend.
He got my phone number that day and invited me to a game/movie night he was having with a few people. He said a few people. He didn't say it meant just the two of us. So I brought what I thought to be a good group (meaning multiple guys and girls) Sunday movie about a Quaker family during the Civil War Era. Not the best date movie, but hey. We had fun anyway and built an amazing Jenga tower of awesomeness. We decided to do it again the next week.
The next week, he asked me out. I told him I was uncertain since I still felt like I was betraying the missionary, but, sure enough, the next day I made my decision and invited him to Family Home Evening with the family to let him know. We dated for three and a half weeks, but no matter how I fasted or prayed, I still didn't have an answer to the question I knew was coming after our first week together. In fact, it wasn't until we made a trip to Oregon to visit his family, the first day there, the day before he asked me to marry him, that I knew. I knew so certainly that it was difficult to imagine life any other way.
We married six weeks later, just in time before the next semester of school. Which we didn't end up going to after all since we felt better about moving to Texas first to make enough money so we didn't have to worry about expenses.
Now, almost ten months later, we are expecting our first baby and I fall in love with this amazing man more every day.
May you never doubt, little one. Your parents are completely and irrevocably in love.
